Texting While Driving - An Accident Waiting to Happen?

In recent months, the social ill known as "texting while driving" has received immense media attention, in Texas and nationwide. CNBC has reported that texting while driving is more dangerous than drinking and driving. More recently, though, the nationwide phenomena known as Extreme Makeover: Home Edition made its way to West Texas. On January 30, 2011, the reality TV program highlighted the dangers of texting while driving when the show chose the Brown family from Wellman, Texas, as recipients of a new home. Since local media has recounted the sad, unfortunate accident surrounding the Brown family, Lubbock Personal Injury Lawyer will not tell the story here. However, the "moral of the story" is that texting while driving is a dangerous, reckless activity. This practice is such a social ill that the Brown family, along with various state political leaders, have proposed a ban on texting while driving in the State of Texas.  Lubbock Personal Injury Lawyer will continue to monitor the status of this proposed ban, but in the meantime please be aware of texting while driving!
